Railway City Angel Gowns is a compassionate non-profit volunteer group based in Southwestern Ontario. We lovingly transform donated wedding dresses and formal attire into angel gowns, wraps, pockets, and keepsakes for families who are grieving the loss of an infant or young child. $1,000

The INN is a 24/7 shelter that provides safety, support, and solutions to individuals 16 and over who are experiencing homelessness in St Thomas and Elgin County. We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home and a chance to live with dignity and hope. $1,000

$250 to The City of London, Ontario, offers the Lifesaving Society's Swim for Life program as its official learn-to-swim program at its aquatic facilities.
This program is designed to teach children essential swimming and lifesaving skills, with structured levels for different age groups, including Parent and Tot (for children 4 months to 3 years), Preschool (for children 3 to 5 years), and Swimmer (for children 5 years and older).
The program incorporates Lifesaving Society Water Smart® education to promote water safety.
While the program is referred to as "Swim for Life" by the City, it aligns with the broader national "Swim to Survive" initiative promoted by the Lifesaving Society Canada, which aims to reduce drowning rates through comprehensive training.

To provide a FREE, family-friendly Festival around which our community can come together to celebrate local artists of all disciplines.  This Festival will promote local (SWO) emerging and established artists by providing a platform for them to share their art and providing them an opportunity to network and make connections within the artist community.

Hospice of Elgin is a project that is very important to the Port Stanley Lions, Port Stanley Lioness and Port Stanley Leo’s.  We continue to provide ongoing monetary support for this much needed community facility. Today the Port Stanley Lions, Port Stanley Lioness and Port Stanley Leo’s added $10,000 to our donation.  Hospice of Elgin board member Dr John Hofhuis was present to accept the donation at the building site.

The Hospice of Elgin recently accepted a $125,000 donation courtesy of the cumulative fundraising efforts of the Lions clubs in Port Stanley. Members of the village Lions, Lioness and Leos clubs commemorated the gift at a cheque presentation on Dec. 3 at Port Stanley United Church.

Port Stanley Lions Club supports the Port Stanley Sailing Squadron and today contributed $500 to the PSSS sailing school for local youth.

The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation is embarking on an $8 million Transforming Tomorrow Diagnostic Imaging Campaign in support of a long-awaited MRI for the city.

It received a kick start late last month when the Port Stanley Lions and Lioness Club, presented the hospital with a $16,000 donation towards the MRI-Diagnostic Imaging Campaign.

Executive Member Dave Marr explains that the funds raised for the hospital is courtesy of their annual golf tournament, which made its return for a 13th year.

With the help of Jackpot Times the Port Stanley Lions Club has been able to donate $12,000.00 to the Port Stanley Community Cupboard.
We are proud that we are able to help those having a tough time meeting their daily needs. It really is “Great to be a Lion”

Port Stanley Lions Club President Joe Konecny presents a $2500 donation to Curtis and Ryder from the St Joe’s Renaissance Robotics team to help the team make the trip to the VEX Robotics’ World Championships in Dallas Texas later this month.  This donation was made possible through charitable gaming.

Dave Marr from the Port Stanley Lions Club honoured our retiring ED Barb Matthews with a very generous donation,$500, to our agency at her retirement party last week. The Lions Club continues to be a great community supporter and this donation will help us serve more at risk kids in Elgin.

The St. Thomas – Elgin General Hospital Foundation has received a $15,000 donation from The Port Stanley Lions Club Marr Family Golf Tournament and Fish Fry. The donation in partnership with Shoppers Drug Mart at First Ave and Elm Street is the Lion’s Club’s 10th year of hosting the tournament benefiting STEGH.

President of the Lions Club and Pharmacist Owner of Shoppers Rick Nemett says they support the hospital because of how many lives it touches in the community.

These allow people with reduced mobility to move around freely between changing rooms, showers, and waterfronts. They can be submerged in water to simplify access to swimming. The seat and footrest cover is made of comfortable hydrophobic foam that protects its user.

There are 2 available at the Main Beach's lifeguard tower during beach patrol hours, and available for use upon request. They are free of charge, but users are asked to provide identification.

These chairs were made possible by a generous donation from the Port Stanley Lion's Club (approximately $5,000 each).
